HELP! New Replacement Leather Dash but wrong one!?!

Factory warranty ends tomorrow/today and my very smooth leather dash was bubbling and also had bad winkles. They replaced dash but it looks like pleather. It does have stitching, doesn't seem as white but it's very textured! NOT smooth like my old one. Does anyone know the # for the Overland Black Dash or what mopar referrers to it as a Instrument panel? The dealership says it is the part number that comes up when they look it up but I know it can't be right. I can not find a picture anywhere on the internet of what they installed. Every single 2011-2013 Overland has very smooth leather like the door, etc. They installed part # 1TP03DX9AA and I don't believe they have a clue if it is really correct or not. I've have spent countless hours trying to figure out what the correct part # is. I think they my have got a export model of what they should have got. Search the part and export does come up in that part. I have a Black/Black Overland I believe I that 1TP08DX9AA might be the right part if the XT code is not in it. Fir example the interior codes for Overland models: X9 is Black/Black, XT is Black/Saddle, and L9 is Dark/Light beige. D3 is Laredo and XL is Limited. Please let me know ASAP if you know what the part # is for the Smooth Black Dash with white stitching!

Every piece of leather looks and feels differently. Smooth would actually be more unusual in that respect...

Ya I understand that every piece of leather isn't the same and wouldn't mind so much, but this is totally different then what came on the car. It looks like it came from a totally different vehicle, doesn't even get close to matching any other leather in the jeep.

You wouldn't happen to have the invoice that has the part # on it? I would really appreciate it if you could find it for me!!!

Re: HELP! New Replacement Leather Dash but wrong one!?!

Does Jeep make a stitched dash in anything but leather? My '14 is, what I would call, textured. It's an Overland, so it is supposed to be leather.

Maybe they had more problems with the smooth leather or the textured is cheaper because it comes from sick cows.

I know my 2013 overland has textured leather on the dash and a different feeling more smooth leather on the doors.

Maybe they had to quit using cows with acute acne?

Re: HELP! New Replacement Leather Dash but wrong one!?!

The service tech that's been working with me during the whole time had their service parts manager call mopar to make sure it was right, and mopar said yes. The tech then told me to call the corporate office and gave me the #. Told me to have have them check it out so I called and talked to a guy there that was really helpful. He called my local dealer and they told him their was a decent difference but the part number was the one that goes with my vin. Then he even called a dealership in CA to double check and also checked with mopar. All confirmed the part # and explained that more then likely the dash was made in a different location. He told me to keep soaking the dash in leather conditioner to try and smooth it out some, and the dash is covered with a 12month warranty and to have it replaced soon as I noticed any sign of a defect (which it already has a minor one from the install) and hope I might get a hold of a dash made in another location. So all in all I'll see how some conditioner works for now and probably have it replaced next summer. But at least I did get new headlights and a dash that isn't really f'ed up the week before my factory warranty ended so I have another 12 months with no deductible on both and I didn't have to pay a penny! But if anyone does find a black leather dash with a different part # from 1TP03DX9AA, please let me know! Thanks for all your feedback!

Re: HELP! New Replacement Leather Dash but wrong one!?!

My 14 Summit has the "textured" leather for the dash and the smoother type leather for the door arm rests and associated leather around them. The top door leather is like the dash. I say this as it may not mean that you got a cheaper leather replacement for your Overland.
