I just traded my 13 JKU Sahara for 14 GC Overland with tan interior, I need some good floor mats that cover allot the tan gets way to dirty, I haven't been able to find any threads on weathertech, Husky Liners etc and what would work best to cover the most area and work best. Many Thanks!

Hi Beaches310.

I've had the Weathertech mats in a couple of vehicles. The digital cut/laser cut fit really well and take a beating. They never cut, cracked or stained. They cleaned easily with soap and water and looked great all armor-alled up. I had the black ones for your reference. I can't speak about stain resistance if you plan on getting the tan ones. The only thing I didn't like was how stiff they were. I clocked a lot of miles and at the end of the day my heels would be sore...(could just be from 14 hour trips). Xmas is coming and as much as I liked the Weatertech's I'm going to give the Husky's a try this time. They are softer and more pliable. According to other reviews I've read, they are digital/laser cut the same way as the Weathertechs's.
Good luck with your shopping!

We purchased the Huskey XAct mats for our new Jeep and I thought I would share some pictures for those interested. FYI - primary reason for choosing these is to get a little more coverage over the "dead pedal" area where the driver's left foot rests, as you can see we have the light frost interior and I wanted as much coverage as possible. I was also concerned with the traction provided as the liners looked to be hard and I was concerned that they would be so smooth that when wet your foot would like around. That is not the case.

As you can see, we purchased the Jeep OEM for the cargo area - I just liked the "Jeep" in the middle - really, that's what made the decision for me! :)

Hopes this helps!

In my previous vehicle I used Weathertech in the front and I liked them over standard mats. When I got my WK2, I decided to fully outfit it with Weathertech. I'm happy with the cargo mat and the rear floor liners from Weathertech. They provide great coverage in those areas and work well for me. The front floor liners, while I like them don't provide as much coverage as I'd hoped.

Many here have raved about the Xact Contour liners, so I decided to get a set for the front a few weeks ago. They provide much, much better coverage as they go further up the foot rest next to pedals and eliminate the gap the Weathertech liners had left exposed right along the inside of the door. Plus they cover the rug clips, so that salt/snow mix isn't going to melt and get onto my carpets from that area. They're also a nice sturdy material, not too grippy and not too slick either. Very, very pleased with them. I think you made a solid choice.

We had WT in the last GC. After a while the edges, thinnest part, would get a little "wavy". It didn't bother my wife but I noticed it. I would try Husky next time or someone on another forum mentioned findway in Canada and they got rave reviews.

Hey Dadillac here. New member just saying hey. About three weeks ago my wife totaled her car in a 10 car pile up. Went to the Jeep dealer 2 days after and bought a 2017 Limited 4x4. Amazing vehicle. I knew GC's were nice but had no idea they were this nice. Anyway I bought her floor mats from a company called Findway. They are located in Canada so the price you will see is in Canadian currency. Our set cost us $91.xx US. I will try to post a link but I am sure I can't do that on my first post. Otherwise just google findway f518. I like these way better than Weathertechs. I have had these mats in our last 4 vehicles including my current Mazda 3.

Web site does not list mats for a 2017 Grand Cherokee. Only list is for a 2015. The mats beginning 2016 have different clamps to secure them to the floor. You mention you bought a 2017; What clamp setup did you recieve.. would you include pics please. I called them and they told me the do mot make the mats for a 2017 Grand Cherokee.

I bought a 2016 JGC two months ago and was immediately presented with this same question. For me it was between the husky xact and weathertech liners. I preferred the feel and the grip of the xact liners and chose them.
I did not like the plastic tray-like feel of the others, and I was concerned with them staying in place and not sliding around. The huskys stay put like a champ and are heavy/pliable enough to weigh themselves down and not peel up at the edges, if that makes sense.
For the cargo area I chose the OEM mat with the Jeep logo. Rugged, looks great and nothing slides around at all. You can find them on Amazon for $50 plus shipping.

Also have the Husky X Act contours front and rear with Jeep cargo liner. Husky's are awesome fit and the lip over the sill keeps sand, salt, etc from getting under the side. The jeep cargo mat is great too and really creates an anti-slide surface for whatever you have in the back. If you go with this setup you won't be disappointed.

Thoughts on the mats from post 27:
Pros
They are a carpet feel on the feel and look more classy.
Easy to clean and dry

Cons
The front mats do not sit securly in the retention posts like the weathertechs.
They come off the retention post way to easy. They do not snap in. Fyi, i took the anchors off my weathertechs and put them on these mats and the swap worked. The fronts sit securly. I put the anchors back on the weathertechs though.
The rear mats are two long and rise up when pushing the front seats all the way back.
COmpany is a one man operation. Called to see if they possibly sent the wrong rear mats and had a difficult time communicating with the indicidual. Send pictures is what i told. Ok will do.
For the price, the fronts should secure and the rears should sit perfect. For these two reasons i would not recommend.
Dadillac, your rears sit ok?

I have no issues. Not sure what you mean by the rears not sitting right. I will say that my wife and myself are relatively short people at only 5'7" tall. So no need for us to move the seats that far back. As for the fronts the "clips" on the mats were very tight to get on all the way. So I took a socket and put it in the clip and tapped with a hammer. They are all the way down and very secure. I will also add that we always use my car when we go anywhere so for 99% of my wifes driving she is by herself. And on the rare occasion she has a passenger it is almost always one person. The back seats on all of her cars have always been brand new fresh when we get rid of the car. So even if the mats aren't just right I wouldn't even notice as I just put them in there for the hell of it.

After a lot of back and forth in my head, I decided to go with the OEM rubber slush mats, and I'm glad I did. They came today, and after installing them they fit perfect, look great, and definitely stay in place with the rubber "nubs" on the back. Hard to beat the price for around $110 shipped for both fronts and the 2nd row mat.

Nice rugged looking style, and with "JEEP" or "GRAND CHEROKEE" embossed on the mat, they're a perfect fit.
