Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone knows if the "half" engine covers made for the Charger and Challenger 5.7 Hemi will fit on a Jeep 5.7 Hemi?
These are the ones that I am looking at.
The '14 will take a little more work. The passenger side cover doesn't just drop on, there is a plastic wiring tray in the front that interferes.
(edit: also, on the driver's side the evap purge solenoid is now mounted to the intake manifold, it looks like it may need more extensive modifications to the cover..)
I hope to get some time tomorrow to start doing my install, but the honey-do list may get in the way.
Any updates?
I ordered a set of the Powered by SRT ones to try to put onto my 2014 durango with the 5.7. Wanted to see if you had any insight on how hard it is to mod.
ufokillerz you are correct, there all the same. I just got mine yesterday they are the exact one's you have pictured said Powered by SRT. I used a dremel to get the letters off then sanded a little with a block sander, real easy. Also cut off some of the rear driver side for fitment. You don't have to touch the passenger side. I ordered the 345 HEMI badges from Nate rebadge.com getting mailed out today. I still have to wait for my catch can from Billet Technology to put the cover on the passenger side, right now the hose that will go to the catch can is in the way. The long hose will fix that. It will be just like snoball.
It can be done, but required a lot of shaping and cutting. I also made a custom fuel line so the line comes in from the back of the D/S cover for a more factory look.

Its the same as my 2015.
D/S needs to get cut out in back and on top for the sensor.
P/S needs to get cut in the front for the wiring harness. I had to heat up the cover in the front (heat gun) and bend it inward a little, also to clear the wiring harness. It takes a little work, but I think it looks like it could have came from the factory this way.
Ground down the "Powered by SRT" logos, then epoxied the new "345 Hemi" logos on
In the first pic, you can also see what I cut out on the covers to make them fit.
On the 2015:
-D/S needs to get cut out in back for the fuel line and on top for the sensor.

-Where ever I cut, I used car door protective molding to give the covers a factory look again.
I ordered a set from Whites. I'm going to wash my engine off first. Is there anything I need to know before I do so? After I wash it it will sit for 3 days before I use it.
They didn't fit my 2015 at first either. Pass Side I had to cut the front, then take a heat gun to shape it inwards to clear the wiring harness. Driver Side had to cut the back to clear the fuel line and wiring along with re-routing the Breather hose. Pics of it on Page 3 of this thread. It takes time to do, but it can definitely be done. Just helped my buddy with his '19. Good Luck.
Damn I read this whole thread a couple times and still missed it ha. I definitely wasn't willing to destroy almost $300 as a test though. Sell me yours
