HID Conversion (OEM Housings)

I did a search to see what was going on so far in the HID Conversion realm, but haven't found anything really worth while...

What I'm really looking for is maybe a part number for the OEM HID housings, because you can buy the kits with the bulbs and ballasts for rather cheap nowadays, but I don't want to go blinding everyone on the road with the Halogen housings...(seriously, that crap gets annoying as hell to me with all those Hondas out there, I don't want to be doing that to anyone else.)

Is there like a resident parts guy researcher around these parts?

TIA!

Re: HID Conversion (OEM Housings)

got a reply from Corey at Justforjeeps if anyone else is interested:

Here is the listing for the BI-Xenon Headlamps:

Left - 55079381AF

Right - 55079380AF

These are the complete head lamp assemblies. The Mopar parts catalog shows the housings coming with the ballasts and bulbs.

to Justforjeeps!!!

Re: HID Conversion (OEM Housings)

I didn't know if I was allowed to post that or not...

Retail is $482.00 each, Sale price is $433.80 each from Justforjeeps

Corey also mentioned that they have some in stock in their local warehouse, so shipping would be rather quick

Re: HID Conversion (OEM Housings)

I put 6000K HID conversion kit in the stock housings. Personally I don't have a problem with "all those hondas" if their lights are aimed correctly. I had a Corvette and an IS350 which are lower sitting vehicles and i've never gotten blinded by oncoming traffic or someone behind me through the mirror (auto-dimming helps too) unless they're aimed wrong or they have a 6" lift on their vehicles.

Re: HID Conversion (OEM Housings)

Are the factory HIDs plug and play with the standard Halogen connections? I was looking at pulling the trigger on these too since that was really the only option I wanted in my LaredoX that I didn't get. Bump for doing it right and not going aftermarket in Halogen housing.
