That's bada** and yes the 787 Dreamliner is a beautiful plane and I believe Boeing has a real winner with that one. Hopefully it gives a big slap in the face to Airbus

Re: HID fog lights melting

I installed a xenondepot 35w Volt kit in my fogs about 2-3 weeks ago

Today, i noticed that both fog light reflectors are starting to melt. Its the area of the reflector right above the bulbs. Pretty much a straight line upward from the bulb, like the heat is rising off the bulb and doing it.

I ran a HID kit in the fog housings of my WK for 5 years wkthout any issues, and the WK2 housing doesnt seem THAT much smaller so im concerned. I probably wouldnt have even noticed if i wasnt installing the chrome bezels and looking right into the fog lens.

Just so everybody can see what I was talking about, I snapped a quick photo yesterday. This is only 3 weeks of usage...

Re: HID fog lights melting

Well, my 35w HID kit officially destroyed the driver's side fog light reflector. It completely melted so badly that the bulb hole is all deformed and the bulb fell out into the bumper

Has anybody tried a 25w HID kit? And, more importantly, anybody know how much the parts department charges for 2 new fog light reflectors?

Re: HID fog lights melting

Or...
(tooting my own horn here).
Just go with PIAA 530 LED fog lights like I did:
OEM Fog Light replacement idea

10 months so far and no issues.
