Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

Hey Steve, I recently had my HID kit installed and all is working perfectly except for one thing. Every time that I turn off the low beam HID's one of the two lights takes about 5 seconds longer than the other to turn off. Do you have any idea why this could be?

Any help would be much appreciated!

It may be the Canbus, have you tried to swap the CBFIX and see if the problem follows it.

No, I have not. I would have to have the shop do it for me. Is it bad if I just leave it the way it is?

Thanks

It may just be the Canbus retaining the power longer on one side. That would be the only reason why one side stay on longer.

How was this as an install? Time, wire splicing, removing components for access?

Also, does this have high and low beams?

Easy just takes time
Closest you can get to a true plug n play system.

No these are not bi-xeons.

2 bulbs 1 high 1 low.

Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

Guys if you use coupon code "MOPARHID" not only do you get $25 off but we also include the relay harness and CBfix at no charge so you have everything you need for a simple plug and play installation.

Ok finally some feedback for everyone. I purchased the H11 5K for my 2014 Limited. After about 10 days finally came in the mail from Xenon Depot. Everything was packaged nice.

Had a chance to go to my friends autobody shop and his mechanic is the best. It was way more difficult then I though(last time I did this was an '08 JGC). Bumper had to come off(pictures below).

It was pretty much plug and play after that. THE RELAY is a key and a must as that stops the flickering. At first didn't hook it up just to see but there is major flickering. Once you hook up the relay you are golden. The ballast fit nice right on the ride hand side of the lights. Besides just the sticking it I also strapped it in with cable ties to secure.

With a little chatting and few pictures taken took about 1.5 hours for install.

Pictures below of before, during and side by side. (sorry if I am not the best night vision shooter)

So far been in the car 2 days and was worth the wait from xenon depot.

Great install!

It's been a few months since you completed this install. Any issues or problems with the kit you purchased as of now?

Can you also provide me with a complete list or product numbers for the kit you used for this install?

I'm looking into replacing my stock projector lights with HIDs.

Thank you!

Any chance of knowing any reputable shop in the Tucson, AZ area that are capable of doing this install?

Looks like a pretty big job for someone that has no mechanical back ground!

Thanks!

It really isn't that hard. The bumper removal is not necessary. Remove the airbox and move the ecm out of the way and you have plenty of access.

I wish I can say "It really isn't that hard", I know with my luck I wouldn't be able to put the thing back together again.

I'm just not handy at all. LOL......
