I noticed the xenondepot is that the best choice?

Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

You do NOT need to shave the H11 bulb for it to fit the Grand Cherokee properly. All XenonDepot HID kits are designed to be plug n play and we include everything you need for it to work on your vehicle.

A relay harness and canbus fix is required on the Grand Cherokee for the HID kit to function.

Danny, I ordered the extreme kit 5k and the gc/mopar harness yesterday as well as the 5k led bulbs for the fogs. Is that all I need or do I need a canbus as well?

The GC/Mopar combo comes with everything you need for the install which includes a relay harness and canbus.

Would you guys happen to know if the 2014 Summit OEM bulbs would fit in a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited?
Thanks...

If both headlights are OEM HID then yes.

Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

From all the reading I've done it seems the h11 is installed upside down on the 14 gc leaving a shadow in the light output of the projector. Is this accurate? Trs has an h11 that installs with return wire on bottom as it should be. Does this sound accurate? It's called xb35 and I was wondering if this is a better choice to avoid filing. Thanks in advance.

I can tell you that on my '14 Limited, the socket is at a strange angle. The XenonDepot bulbs that came with my kit, the return wire is horizontal when installed. There is a shadow when I pull up to the garage, but not noticeable when driving. I tried the XB35 bulb as well, hoping that would make a difference. It too is horizontal. If you email TRS, they will tell you to use the 3Five bulb in the '14 GC. I have not tried that as I will be switching to SRT8 headlight assemblies soon.

Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

I ordered my kit from trs and plan to install this weekend. My first attempt will be without bumper removal. Any tips or hints from the guys who have done this. It's a 14 gc altitude. Thanks in advance

Bumper removal is not at all necessary. On the passenger side, unhook the two large cables and then unclip and swing the heat sink out of the way. On the driver's side, remove the intake box. This will give you enough room to get the bulbs in/out. It is tight and you will be working blind but it is definitely do-able.

Thanks a lot for the info . I hope I'm able to turn the bulb return wire down with the regular 3 five h11.
