Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

So do you not need a canbus fix to the extreme kit? And what bulbs?

Those look to be only avail in 4300k.

Will they at least look a little better than the stock overland HIDs?

Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

I'd imagine the stock lights on the Overland are 4300k, too.

Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

Last time I installed an HID kit I needed to use a relay. Is the extreme kit plug and play?

No offense to Steve(whom I've purchased from before) or any other hid vendor, but I don't think you'll be able to match the overland oem output with an aftermarket H11 Plug-n-play hid kit. Sure, you can go with 5k or higher on the spectrum to get more blue but usable light will not match oem. I'd retrofit oem headlights from 11-13 or a direct replacements froma 14(which is almost impossible without buying new right now) or go with the best 4300k hid kit and be satisfied with less light output.

1stTruk: Wow! Thanks for the feedback!! We look forward to working with you again and thank you for your repeat business!

xJoshxx: Which fitment kit did you go with? Was it the "h11?" Did you already install the kit?

Steve

Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

Any update on this yet? The stock headlights aren't terrible, but I'm read to make the jump to HIDs now.

Subscribing...

If this aftermarket HID kit is "plug n' play", I'm all over it!

Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

Has anyone completed this swap yet? I was just at a shop in Mass, they haven't done a 2014 yet, but they have done several 2013's. It is plug and play and you will need the canbus as well to avoid light flickering. But they say it's a great upgrade?

The kits are not Phillips, rather some other brand, but they did offer a 1yr warranty.

I'm toying with going that route. 5000-6000k low beams and 3000 for fogs.

Re: HID kit for 2014 Cherokee Limited

I know we have a sold a few HID kits for the 2014 model but we haven't received any feedback yet.

But based on the previous model years our HID kits were plug and play and they simply needed a relay harness and a canbus to function properly.

Once we get some feedback we'll be happy to share it with you guys.

Danny
