Picked up my Jeep this weekend and since I didn't get the Lux II package I don't have LED or xenon. I still want to incorporate HID's those since the headlights already have the projections on them.
I know it's early on and vehicle is new. Any recommendations on where to go to buy and what to get. I want to do it right and make sure it doesn't fail.
Even if you can (I'm not sure), I'd still drop in some aftermarket HID's and save some money. The 2013 Ram guys with Halogen Projectors have been dropping in HID kits with great success. The Rams use an HIR2/9012 bulb, I'm not sure if the Jeeps are the same or not.
Nice. I've done an HID install before so ill have to figure out where to put the ballast. The last kit I bought for my old car sucked so Ill need some recommendations...
Do you have HID or LED kits available for the 2014 Jeep GC yet? Any special requirements (resistors, etc.) Have you done a conversion yet? I pick mine up next week.

I agree - the headlights on the Overland are awesome...but coudln't justify spending the extra several thousand for headlights. So with that being said - is there a full kit for the 2014 Jeep GC @ XenonDepot? I went to the site, but it only has up to 2013 from the drop down list.
tvguy710: Please do!!! I don't have any first hand knowledge of anyone installing a XenonDepot HID kit in the 2014 so i would love to get some feedback.
I got the h11 kit for my girl friends 2012 scion tc Zeus edition. Hard to snap pictures they blind all the cameras. Everything' was plug and play worked amazing!
Has anyone completed this swap yet? I was just at a shop in Mass, they haven't done a 2014 yet, but they have done several 2013's. It is plug and play and you will need the canbus as well to avoid light flickering. But they say it's a great upgrade?
The kits are not Phillips, rather some other brand, but they did offer a 1yr warranty.
I'm toying with going that route. 5000-6000k low beams and 3000 for fogs.
Ok finally some feedback for everyone. I purchased the H11 5K for my 2014 Limited. After about 10 days finally came in the mail from Xenon Depot. Everything was packaged nice.
Had a chance to go to my friends autobody shop and his mechanic is the best. It was way more difficult then I though(last time I did this was an '08 JGC). Bumper had to come off(pictures below).
It was pretty much plug and play after that. THE RELAY is a key and a must as that stops the flickering. At first didn't hook it up just to see but there is major flickering. Once you hook up the relay you are golden. The ballast fit nice right on the ride hand side of the lights. Besides just the sticking it I also strapped it in with cable ties to secure.
With a little chatting and few pictures taken took about 1.5 hours for install.
Pictures below of before, during and side by side. (sorry if I am not the best night vision shooter)
So far been in the car 2 days and was worth the wait from xenon depot.
