Honeycomb inserts

Anyone have an issue with the inserts where one set doesn't snap in on one side of the grill? I got them all to snap in fine but the far left side isnt catching. would this be a problem if i left it as is?

Re: Honeycomb inserts

I had a lot of trouble getting the last side of a couple inserts to snap in but after sore scratched up hands, finally got them all snapped in without tools. Just keep at it, pull at the mating part too, not just the insert. It can be done.

Re: Honeycomb inserts

Tried that method.... 30 mins later with countless cuts. So, i went with bumper removal method. I d say it took me 5 mins without any cuts ha.

Good luck! Also be sure that you got plenty of band-aids

Honeycomb inserts

I did mine when it was about 85-90 outside and it made getting all the clips to pop in and out a breeze. I too removed the bumper.

Was able to replace my grille in about 1 hour without taking off the bumper.
I had some small cuts and scrapes on m y hands and arms, but I just didn't want to take off the bumper.

Re: Honeycomb inserts

I attempted the no-removal method... I was only able to remove two clips, and gave up after half an hour. Needless to say, I wouldn't wish that task upon my worst enemy. The front bumper removal takes literally 5 minutes, but would require you to buy new rivets from the fender molding since you cannot remove those. Even with the front bumper off, I had a bit of trouble prying off the clips.
