how. do keyless entry handles sense my hand

I have a grand cheroke overland and it has the keyless entry. Whe. i put my hands in the handle it unlocks. What is it sensing.

Temperature, vibration, light sensor, infrared ?

Great feature havent used a key since i bouht the car.

They operate using capacitive touch, sensing the difference in potential between the conductivity of your body, versus the conductivity of the Jeep.

Very similar to the table lamps that you touch to turn on and off.

its called a antenna that see's the remote thats in the door handle

I was interested in this as well. I could easily test this but I wanted to see if it would work with gloves on.
