So I've had a few members asking me how exactly I plastidipped all the chrome and didn't see a 'how to' anywhere on JG yet (though I might not have looked that hard). Anyway here is the video I followed, very well explained: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6BXz0Cw_GQ
It took me about 5-6 cans to do the front grill, rear hatch piece, window trim, and the side trim pieces (bought the plastidip at Lowes). I chose not to do the roof rack and emblems just out of preference. For the front grill and rear hatch piece, I just popped those out and sprayed them on some newspaper in my garage (both pieces are held in by plastic clips that are fairly easy to pop out with a screwdriver or something similar, and it's easier if you have two people to pop out the front piece). The window trim and side trim pieces I just masked off with painters tape and newspaper. I did 4 layers of plastidip on everything. When you are all done and it has all dried, you can wipe off the excess over spray that got on the jeep's paint with a microfiber towel, but be careful, I was a bit hasty and nicked the trim with the towel which ended up causing some very small flakes of the plastidip to come off on the window trim, it wasn't bad enough for me to redo the whole side but just be careful. Also I was told by my brother not to drive through automatic car washes, he had some of the plastidip come off on his, just wash it yourself at a self wash place.
FYI, I highly recommend you buy one of these spray can handles: Can-Gun1 2012 Premium Can Tool Aerosol Spray - Spray Paints - Amazon.com I did the front and rear pieces without this and by the end my last coat was pretty inconsistent due to my fingers being so worn out and barely able to press the spray button.
Posted some pictures of the process below (sorry didn't take any while doing the front and rear pieces).
Be sure to leave a good 1/2 to 1 inch gap between the trim and masking tape, this is vital:
