I like the chrome look....am I the only one?

My '15 Limited is black. To me the black with chrome door handles, badging, and accents at the front and back looks really nice. I'm thinking about buying a set of tow-hooks and having them chromed for even more chrome.

Am I nuts?

Why not do it, everyone else is blacking out the chrome, and I don't like to follow everybody either

I have a Black Overland myself and love the chrome also and has also been thinking about the chrome hooks lol. I know the blacked out look in nice but I think it goes better on a white or red GC.

You can buy tow hooks that are already chromed. Many of us have them. They look great!

on board w/ the chrome too. One thing, the mirrors are too much rather have them body color so I'll have them wrapped.

Roger that. However, I'm not aware of a source that sells the chromed tow hooks along with the installation hardware or a source for just the installation hardware. So I'm under the impression I'd need to buy a black set with hardware and the chrome hooks separately. I'd like to avoid ending up with extra black hooks if possible.

I'm 52 and I remember cars/trucks with heavy chrome bumpers and whatnot. I've always liked chrome.

Re: I like the chrome look....am I the only one?

I remember a decade ago when I got my first Jeep, a Commander. People were on the forums discussing how to add chrome to their trucks. I remember buying the grill, mirrors, rear handles, etc. Same thing with the next Jeep I owned, a Liberty. I guess it's a thing of the past. I own a black Altitude now LOL.

Why not do it because he likes it?
Not because everyone is doing one thing than you must do the other.
That would be ....uh ....stupid.

Re: I like the chrome look....am I the only one?

I'm with you, I like the chrome trim also. Though I could do without the chrome mirror caps and handles, I'd prefer those to be color matched to the vehicle. Better yet with the handles, a color matched face, with chrome behind it much like many of the high end vehicles are putting out these days.

I've seen some blacked out trim here on the forum and in the wild, it looks outstanding as well.
