Yeah gloss black would be the best way to go for window trim. Most cars that come from the factory like that use gloss black which matches very nicely with the gloss black window dividers as well as factory tinted windows which from the outside appear....you guessed it, gloss black.

Anyone try gloss black metallic vinyl?

I'm looking to have my mirror caps and handles wrapped with it. seems like a close match to the brilliant black paint or should I just stick with the regular gloss black?

You can try wrapping the handles in vinyl but if that doesn't work out you can always just swap the handles out for the painted ones like I did.

I think it cost me under $300 for all 4 handles...and I was able to do the 2 rear ones myself...and had the front 2 done at the dealership for $236

you can also try plasti dipping if you want a low cost solution

Painted handles is likely the best route to go but I'm in Canada and it'll cost me 400+ for the painted handles..

Anyways a shop quoted me $20.00 per handle to wrap on gloss black metallic so I'm gonna see how that goes.

Ajag do you see a noticeable difference in Power with the RIPP inter cooler? I've been going back and forth if I want one or not.

Also how difficult was it to install?

Nice jeep!

Well there's more to it than just the intercooler..its part of the RIPP supercharging system so it's not to be used alone

This supercharger kit is the only thing I found that added any real power to this v6

Transformed it into a real beast ..upped it from the 180whp stock form to 330whp right now ..with 7lbs boost

Re: If anyone is interested in DE-Chroming-here's some pics

I just started dechroming my 2014 overland in white. I just plastidipped the trim around the Windows (pain in the ass). I was thinking about just having it all wrapped. Do any of you have experience with vinyl wrap? It must look better than dip. Any ideas if I can get it to color match the white?

I ended up wrapping mine in gloss black metallic, you can't really tell unless your looking for it Attachment 62867Attachment 62868

I'm guessing a gloss white would be the closest match for you.
