Re: "Installed" - OEM Mopar Jeep Sunshade

these are only $42 from my local dealer, why not contact your dealer instead of paying a higher price and shipping online.

That is a good idea, however I also don't have the time or want to spend the gas to drive the 42 mile round trip to my dealer which is WAY out in the suburbs...its a 1 hour ride with traffic.

Great price! Sure wish I saw this before I paid $70.00 + for mine.

Re: "Installed" - OEM Mopar Jeep Sunshade

Just got mine in today ($50 from eBay dealer) and it doesn't seem to want to fit in very nicely. It seems that the bottom edge (where the windshield meets the dash) is just a little wider than the windshield. Are you'll having to force this in place or does it go in smoothly for you'll? I have an OEM Mopar sun shade for my 2000 WJ and it fits perfectly without any force and can stay in place without the sunvisors down.

Re: "Installed" - OEM Mopar Jeep Sunshade

Does anyone know if the WK (2005-2010) Jeep Grand Cherokee Mopar sunshade will fit the WK2 (2011/2012) windshield?

I believe the part numbers for the wk and wk2 are the same.

Mine was a little tight at the sides when I got it but it loosened up nicely after a few times and now goes up without problem.
BTW I noticed the instructions that come with the screen have a disclaimer at the bottom warning people not to drive the car with the sunscreen in place.
Wonder if we need a poll to see how many forum members have actually tried that?

Mine fits fine at the bottom but is almost too short as the visors barely hold it in place. I also remember the first time I used it that it was a little tricky to get up because it is so stiff and bulky. But once you get the hang of it no problem. It does block the heat well...the silver material is seering hot when I take it down!

Re: "Installed" - OEM Mopar Jeep Sunshade

Sounds like I need to play with it a little more to loosen it up (twss). I'll try to install it again and see.

I figure if I add this $60 upgrade too and then I can then leave the frozen food in the car a little longer out here in AZ .... lol
How much was the clear coat? Is this available at any tint shop? Would love this as an additional sun-blocker.

I park in the sun in the high desert, in the summer averages about 100. My $15 sunshade set from Costo seems to work well... although I rarely use the small shades that suction up to the side windows. It folds easily and has an elastic loop to keep it from popping open. 1 year of use and still good a new.
