No. It could very well be Chinese as well. Both look to be very well made. I can see no quality issues with either.

Re: Installing Self Stick Badges & Emblems Straight ??

I bought a red HEMI badge last November and applied it under the Limited badge. The contour does present a problem. If I had to do it all over I would try to bend the badge to the shape of the vehicle. It has pulled away slightly but after going through the worst New England winter in over 70 years and many car washes and hand washes later it's still holding up just fine. I chose the Chinese imitation because the red color matches my Jeep. It wasn't exactly a big investment and if it bothered me enough I would put a heat gun to it and remove it.

Re: Installing Self Stick Badges & Emblems Straight ??

Thanks Peter, that's good to know. I'm trying to decide what I've got around the house I could put a slight even bend in it with, by pressing it against it.

The red HEMI badge is definitely NOT an authentic Mopar part.

I can't decide which one I want to use. I'm leaning toward the smaller red one. The other looks good, but it might look a bit out of place on a Grand Cherokee. It's going to go opposite the "LIMITED" emblem on the left side of the hatchback.

I know these things are simple to install. Basically just clean the surface with rubbing alcohol, "peel & stick". However, I want to employ the best method to get it straight, and at the same location height and length wise as the "LIMITED" emblem on the opposite side. These kinds of jobs are always easier than they look. You have just one shot to get it perfect.

I was thinking I could measure in from the side edge of the hatchback to locate it the same distance in as the "LIMITED" emblem. And also up from the step in the bumper. Then use a couple of pieces of blue Scotch Painters Tape as a setting template to get it parallel and even with the rear bumper step.

I'm thinking measuring off the rear step in order to get it level with the bumper would be more of a sure bet than screwing around with levels. I've used dual levels to mount the crosshairs straight on rifle scopes, and they never do come out perfect. You always have to fine tune them to get it right. With this I'm not going to have that luxury. Have any of you guys added a self stick emblem? If so what method did you use, and how did it go? Thanks in advance.

I was lucky to have a laser level to align mine.

Does Mopar make a red HEMI badge. One that doesn't say 5.7 liter just HEMI?

Here are several. Some are red, some black, some chrome. As far as genuine Mopar authenticity, that I don't know. You have to look at who is sending it, and from where.

Re: Installing Self Stick Badges & Emblems Straight ??

One other little tip before applying emblems. Wipe the area that you are applying the emblems down with a little isopropyl alcohol. That will ensure a good clean wax free surface for adhesion of emblems. As the glue will not stick well to a waxed surface and will eventually start to peel off. Oh and almost forgot I have 2 genuine OEM Mopar Hemi 5.7 emblems for sale if anybody is in need of them.
