The reverse lights are 2 different bulbs. The outside reverse light uses 7443 bulbs and the inner/hatch use 921 bulbs.

I was thinking this same thing. Yet they still don't come with LED reverse lights

I'll upgrade if the 2016/17 comes with FULL LED tails.

The least they could do is provide a plug and play harness for the third brake light connection. Now you have to splice the factory harness just to get the brake light function for the inner taillights... not worth it to me.

I wouldn't splice I would use a T connector as Tailight Solutions does for their rear fog light kit

Posi-Tap- No Crimp Tap

These are by-far the best damn connectors out there.
They even have sealed units for automotive use (or just dab some silicon grease inside or silicon sealant outside).

I'm with you in splicing factory wires, not comfy with that at all. I would like a plug and play also.

Re: Interesting, check out these aftermarket '14/'15 LED tail lights!

I plan on stripping a small portion of insulation off the third brake light wires and then soldering in the extension harness. I did that when I installed the lighted door step plates.

Soldering in my opinion is the only way to go when doing an install in a car/truck. I still don't like that they're not plug and play.

The problem with that is that any electrical issue you have with the car the dealership will automatically blame it on any modifications you made, even if it has nothing to do with it. It happened to me and a couple of other people.

One thing I did notice on these lights is the backing of the lights is a putty color. The side lights have a section that is exposed when you open the hatch - where the 2 retainers are. And the side of the center lights too. Guess I will have to take some flexible satin black paint and paint that section.
