Re: Interior Build Quality

Rear-lower plastic panel (cargo-net anchor-point) on drivers side keeps popping up. Apparently, the metal clip holding it in just wont engage. The cargo-net put enough strain on the anchor-point that it pulled the panel loose from the floor.

Re: Interior Build Quality

10K, only issue is a coin from center console tray got jammed in the rear hinge mechanism and broke something. The console lid is now a bit wobbly when open.

Re: Interior Build Quality

pana roof was squeaking towards the back rails - a little silicone spray fixed it.

Re: Interior Build Quality

Yeah, unfortunately mines more a "rattle" when going over bumps that I hear above the passengers side rear door. Afraid to bring it in for fear they'll make it worse or eff up something else in the process!

Re: Interior Build Quality

Based on renting many SUV's over the past few years before springing for my 2012 Laredo X, I believe the build quality on these is top notch and holds up well even in ones with over 30K miles on them.

Mine is doing fine after nearly 5 months and 5K miles. But I don't have kids, pets or frequent passengers either.

My experience is that the cloth interior does not seem to hold up as well as the leather. But I will say the Jeep cloth holds up as well or better as any other vehicle brand I have seen. And the Jeep leather definitely holds up better than any other SUV brand I drive.

Overall, I am satisfied so far.

Re: Interior Build Quality

Not interior quality in the expected sense, but it would be nice if the pillars and headliner matched the interior color properly on our saddle Overland. Above the beltline the color's blah and the material isn't much better.

Sort of like a T-shirt with dress pants and shoes.

hahaha. i don't hate the contrasting color but i would love it if it matched as well.

i wish the knobs (like radio and air/heat) didn't feel so cheap.

Debated on the full Saddle interior when ordering our Mineral Gray Overland, and opted instead for the Light & Dark Frost Beige. After having it for close to a year, and seeing a Summit with the Full Saddle last week, definitely think we made the right choice!

If it bothers you, you could probably eliminate the headreast rattle. Others on this forum have done so. Wrap a piece of clear 3M packaging tape around the metal posts and push the posts down into the plastic anchors. I also found that the plastic anchors rubbing against the leather on the top of the seat created noise, so I crammed some thin foam between the platic anchors and the leather. Rattle/noise were eliminated.

You wouldn't have got the full saddle like the Overland Summit you saw in the Overland you bought.
There would have been less saddle, your dash would have been black instead of saddle and more black and less saddle on the door panels.
