I have the unappealing Gold Trim in my '15 Altitude. Anyone have a part list and / or price list to change it all out to the silver interior trim pieces? Has anyone done this swap?
That's gonna be a lot of work and probably money as well, not to mention a lot of broken interior trim tabs and pieces that don't go back in just right. In short, save yourself the time and money and leave it as is. I know it's all personal preference, but IMO the bronzish stuff looks better. Glad I could help lol
It's prohibitively expensive to swap. The trim rings around the door handles are plastic welded to the door panel and would require a complete replacement - almost $600 EACH. Same holds true for the center floor shifter console - plastic welded. Have to replace the entire thing, and FCA won't sell just the trim. Changing out the wood trim on a limited to brushed aluminum is equally nuts(for comparison)-each piece is $382! Bear in mind that the prices are M$RP, but still.
I was looking to replace my scuffed Shift Indicator bezel (the piece with the cup holders and selec terrain dial). If I order the $375.00+ part, they wouldn't be able to replace it since its welded in? Sorry it's just been driving me crazy and I have the part number and the price is fine with me. Maybe this could help answer one of OP's questions since it is one of the bigger trim pieces.
