Interior led conversion

I got the premium kit not sure if it was worth the extra looks exactly like yours.

I couldn't fit my fingers to change the glove box light so until I can figure out a way that's staying stock. Also stupid me ordered led license plate bulbs with the package and the car already came with leds there from the factory lol doh!!! Shame the map lights can't be swapped the only thing that doesn't match I don't get why they would do that!

Anyway it's super bright! I love it at night can literally see everything inside like it was daylight.

People save your money and don't go with the premium kit I think i got taken and the products are probably identical...

Re: Interior led conversion

So... when changing the bulbs... Definitely don't use a set of pliers. Apparently the bulbs under the footwell don't like pliers very much. Drivers side basically exploded, not sure if it was due to the heat though.

Only use fingers! Just do it quickly so you don't get burned.

Re: Interior led conversion

Yea I already did mine the second day I had it lol, I actually used pliers and got away with it but honestly thought they were all gonna break... Burned my fingers a few times too and the damn map light covers were tricky as shit lol they made it look so easy in the video. All my bulbs were in there really tight. The only one I haven't changed yet is the glove box one because I can't fit my fingers and I'm scared to used a plier on that one ! Car looks sooo much better with the black lugs on!

Re: Interior led conversion

The glove box one had me stumped for a little while too. Then I figured the whole assembly had to come out......and it does. Use a medium size flat head and insert it into where the light output of the bulb comes from. You'll see a pressure snap in tab. Push that flat and use the screwdriver to kind of push out the whole light assembly towards the seat. Then you can pull it out by hand and easily change the bulb.

Overland Express- Can you provide more info on this. I read your post and decided that sounded easy enough until I looked at the location. I did not see any tab or any way I could get a screwdriver to pop anything out without destroying something. Looking at this photo, where do you access a point to pry it out? Does it come out toward the switch? Appreciate the help. I am stumped. All the others were fairly easy except this one!

Re: Interior led conversion

Yes if you look up inside the bulb area there is a black tab attached to the bulb socket. I had to take out the glove box and owners manual tray. That was the only way I could see the tab. That whole push bottom and half circle area then it comes out towards the seat.
