Interior lighting, need help

Does anyone know how to take the front dome light bulbs out. I got the tap light out but can't seem to figure out the other one. Picture for reference. NON-LED light is the one I want to take out. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1445511638.948580.jpg

There's no need to spam this in 3 different areas of the forum.

It's not spam, I put it in the interior forum, diesel forum (which it is), and wk2 forum (which it is). Sorry I'm not bitching about something like the dealership, because everyone seems to love to do that and comment. I'm asking a legitimate question that I can not figure out and you say it's spam. Thanks bro.

Yes, it is spamming. And if you get any helpful responses you'll now have them scattered across 3 threads. The best place to ask a question like this is in the DIY/How To section.

One thread is sufficient. Anyone reading the forum will see it... they don't need to see it 3 times. You're welcome.

So it's not my first rodeo with forums, once I get the reply needed I ask to have them taken down or I post the answer to it in the other places that I have posted the question. As you can see I have the time to respond as soon as I get the reply. I will take care of my stuff and I want to share my knowledge with everyone and be as helpful as possible.

In future, it would be best to post in only one area.

See 'Overhead console' section:

Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - Interior trim removal

I believe the bulb needs to be accessed from the other side.

Re: Interior lighting, need help

The funny thing is the "yellow" bulb actually is an LED. It's a LED chip soldered onto the board. So unless you have soldering skills there isn't a lot you can do with that bulb.

I did this in mine (funny enough when I was a 25 year old engineer). There is a thread about lighting where I gave steps as to removing and changing these (and yes, soldering is involved but not too difficult). Several people have done it since. I don't remember exactly what the thread is called, but do a search for it (you can probably go to my profile and see the posts that were thanked). Good luck
