Invisible bra

My dealer did not offer to put on an Invisible bra package at the time of purchase; anyone have one installed before leaving the lot?
I am wondering how hard it would be to do this myself; some 3M material, a razor blade and some warm soapy water, right? Or does anyone know if maybe you can get pre-cut film for the WK2 on-line somewhere?
When I bought my Audi 5 years ago, I had the dealership put an Invisible Bra at the time of purchase and I'm really glad I did. I want to make sure My new rig is equally protected.

Thanks!

Re: Invisible bra

I would leave it to the pro's. The material has to be heated and conformed to the bumpers shape and thats tough for a novice.

Re: Invisible bra

My WK2 order includes the 3M bra. I had the same dealer put the clear bra on my Charger SRT-8. They sub the job out to a pro installer. There are a few guys in my car clubs that have installed their own, but I'd rather leave it to the pro's.

Robpp are they out on the Island, or NJ/NYC area for the private installer?

I think the shine depends on the quality of the material used. I'm impressed with the 3M stuff. IMHO, it's as close to the paint shine and being invisible as you can get.

Here's a pic of my Charger with the invisible bra covering the front facia. Can you see it?

Re: Invisible bra

I found a site that sells the precut 3M material for the WK2; the prices seem reasonable; if you order over $100 you get free shipping a few few extra goodies too!:

i think the color helps it a bit..the vette is purple/yellow in the areas the bra was on, and it stopped mid hood. my friends honda was black..you could see it on both. dont think it shows up much on a photo but in person you could tell..and both vehicles had real 3m installed professionaly
