Re: iPhone holder?

Mine came in the mail today. I bought two S's. It was tough to find a flat place on the jeep dash to mount the S. I put it on a semi-flat spot under the vent to the left of the radio.

I considered putting it on the slim flat strip under the radio, or under the heating controls. That would cover up some controls though. I still may so that if the current location doesn't work.

I have the Mophie Juice Pack on my iPhone5, so it's a little bulky. The instructions with the Neutrons say to let the 3M tape set for 24 hours before use. So sometime tomorrow I will start using it and see how it works. Re: iPhone holder?

A little late to the thread, but another worth mentioning is the Steelie mount.

Do you have a steelie? Do you have photos of it mounted? It looks pretty good too. It differs from the neutron in that the magnet is on the phone instead of on the dash.

Re: iPhone holder?

So with that Neutron, once the shielding disc is on your phone, you can use any magnet? It would be nice, but I don't want to have to buy multiple magnets at $30 to use in other cars. Is the value the shield or the magnet?

I have it - just haven't installed it yet. It is very sturdy and robust, will have to see how well it stays in place off-road. Got mine from Amazon.

Re: iPhone holder?

This is the one I use in my jeep. Fits my iPhone 6 as well. Attached with just a suction cup (no adhesive disk) so it's easily a 100% removable ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1413917035.184532.jpg

Re: iPhone holder?

You could use any magnet with the shield. The neutron claims to attenuate the magnetic signal so that it does not interfere with your phone like a regular magnet might. The neutron also has programmable NFC that can be used to have your phone automatically bring up navigation or music when it is attached to the neutron magnet.

If you wanted to spend less than $30 you could likely get a piece of metal, some 3m tape, and a dollar store magnet and have pretty much the same effect.

It's not here yet but I will post photos when I have my phone mounted in my jeep.
I was going to order a Kuga, but this is a very neat , inexpensive solution. But I wonder if they would be strong enough to hold a Garmin NUVI GPS in off road travel. I think I'll contact them and see what response they give.

Received a response from Bunga already, that included this video. I like the fact they went looking for the rougher sections of the road. Just ordered one of each and will give them a try.

Re: iPhone holder?

I was really close to buying some Ram Mount gear for my iPhone but figured I'd give the Kenu Airframe a shot at $25. Really glad I did! I was a bit skeptical but it really is a great little mount. It is surprisingly sturdy. Bought a second one for my wife's car.

Re: iPhone holder?

IOttie has been the best I've used with regard to portability. I'll get pics up this weekend. I mount it to the side of the dash and it holds extremely well. $25 via amazon

For a more permanent solution check out Dslide's build thread, he came up w a good option.
