Re: iPhone holder?

Nite Ize makes really nice products...I use their very durable belt holsters for my iPhone. That said, the downside to the "steelie" product is that it's really not compatible with most phone cases and many folks prefer to have some level of protection on their very expensive phones. If the magnet adhesive will reliably stick to a typical thin polycarbonate iPhone case, it could help get around that issue...but folks with more substantial protection needs will likely have to choose a different mount system.

Is there a DIY for this? also, is there a way to have the radio playing? or does it only play sound from the phone?

Re: iPhone holder?

Phone a way to mount my phone that I feel works great for me. Here are some pictures of how I mounted my mobile phone. There is a piece that goes on the back of my phone case but it's as thin as a dime.

Re: iPhone holder?

T-ride, I have the same mount in the same place, don't like it. I hit it with my knee or it just falls off over bumps. Same case also. Magnet is not strong enough through the case in my opinion.

Re: iPhone holder?

I've hit some pretty big bumps and have never had it fall off. Mine seems to be pretty strong.

Did you have the magnet mounted in the middle of the phone? I have it about 3/4 of an inch above center.

Re: iPhone holder?

T-ride, I have it in the middle, it actually holds better with the phone in the landscape position. I may ditch the cover and try it, probably will be better.

I'm considering this one. My only concern is loosing a vent in an already inadequate HVAC system.

That is the one I use & it works perfectly! I put it on the the left window vent, turn on the iPhone's bluetooth, & I don't need to touch my phone again until I leave the vehicle! It is well made, stays firmly clipped on, is a great price . . . what else can I say?

Re: iPhone holder?

This is the one I use for my Android LG G2. Works with a case on or off.

Re: iPhone holder?

When I leave the console cubby open its sits nicely (horizontally) between the edge of the door and the climate knob. Just enough spring in the door to keep it in place
