you didn't mention which model jeep you have, check out KUDA mounts from Germany.
They make some really nice custom ones designed specifically for each car model, they are sold in the USA....and they have all kinds of options for different phones, GPS units, etc....
I have one in my new GC, and it looks really nice, and is not in the way of anything
A lot of folks hated my setup when I posted about it originally, but it's served me well and has the phone exactly where I want it to be....the black mounting block is by Kuda and the rest is Arkon.
Hey Jim I like your setup mate ? where did you get those items from ? I say they would fit a 2014 SRT judging by the looks any links or info on those items mate ?
As mentioned above but with the Amazon link and high quality reviews. I also have 2 of these and went from the iPhone 5 to iPhone 6 with no issues! The mount does not get loose nor does the swivel get loose.
I have used it in over 6 different vehicles. My Jeep, wife's vehicle, and all company cars. Not one single fit problem since there are 2 sizes of vent grips to accommodate 99% of your vehicle style air vents.

I second the vote for the Kenu - have one in mine and Mrs. Northland's car; we love them! In my '14 GC Limited it puts my iPhone right where I like it - high enough to see the display, but not high enough to block forward visibility. It doesn't block anything on the 8.4" UConnect screen, either. It's very stable, yet can be swiveled to any position you like (including for horizontal screen viewing). The only downside, as has been discussed, is it blocks the airflow out of whichever vent you install it on. This doesn't concern me, as I don't leave it mounted there all the time - I just wanted a simple mount that was easy to place my phone in, would hold it securely, and be easy to remove the phone from - the Kenu fits all those needs perfectly for me.
Looks like the only issue I would have with this vent mount, is that with a phone in it, it looks like it would block the air flow out of vent you install it on, where I live it gets over 100 degrees most summer days, so I need all the air flow I can get.... May not be an issue at all in other parts of the country.....
theweavman, that's the major down-side to a vent-mount type system...they block or alter airflow. For some folks that doesn't matter; for others, it's a concern.
Agreed. I do find it slightly annoying. However, I typically turn off the flow from that vent which gives a better flow to others. My vent mount uses up the driver vent at the right of the steering column.
Yes they fit perfectly in a 2014 SRT or other GC models.
Check out KUDAUSA website for info and ordering, they have models to fit most vehicles and years
I use the Mountek nGroove. It locks into your CD slot which I hardly ever use, but you still can use with a CD inserted. I have the original version. Debating if I should upgrade to the new version.
maxy9, the leather covered "mounting mount" came direct from KUDA ( KUDA USA, INC. - KUDA® car custom OEM leather mounts for mobile electronics ) The Arkon phone mount (and power cable) was ordered from Amazon. You may be able to get Arkon or similar from a stockest in QLD or another part of Australia. Not sure about the Kuda piece.
My Wife uses Waze to navigate and likes having the phone up high, so the Kenu works great. She uses the n-groove in her car bc it has a cd slot.
The Macally can fit an 6+ & the Kenu won't, but the 6 fits fine. All three are great mounts.
They say on the site that the discs you attach to your phone are thin enough to fit between your case and the phone. However I doubt that will be the case with every phone case.
I plan to stick the disc to the outside of the case. It goes on with 3m tape, so I'm sure I could move it to a new case when needed.
Anyway, my product is enroute and I should be able to post full info next week.
