I was thinking of doing the same and seeing if the SRT grill and black headlamps would fit the Overland or not. Think it's a sharp look myself. However, ALL of the models look better this year without the chrome grill of the last model

sorry...thought you had a 11-13' You can still get a spare 14' grille from justforjeeps and paint it black or buy a black one.

Re: Is the Dash actually Leather

Sorry... Reviving this thread

I bought and used the armor all leather wipes. Not happy at all. I used it on the seats and a bit on the dash. The dash is leather right? I mean it was confirmed in the 1st page. But the dash appears to have streaks. Why? If it's leather. Or is it the wipes that suck?

Help!

Re: Is the Dash actually Leather

The dash is leather. The wipes suck. I wouldn't use anything other than a soft, slightly damp cloth or towel on the dash or the seats.

Re: Is the Dash actually Leather

Good to know. I guess I did have a feeling it's leather and it won't crack my dash as I was reading elsewhere.

I've read that it will eventually disappear or if it bugs the crap out of me I could use soap and a damp microfiber cloth.

Or you could reread MDBones' thread and note, like the owners manual, he recommends just a slightly damp soft cloth. Soap is a last resort.

Some good reading here...Auto Leather Conditioner is a subject full of much bad info; read up!

Nice breakdown of current auto leather. Seems like cleanliness is key.

Re: Is the Dash actually Leather

Mine has finally started to bubble up behind the cluster and along the side as it was only glued down. It is also lifting near the air vents. No cracks or peeling just lifting. I could imagine it is only going to get worse where it was tight.
Sorry no pic.
Anyone have theirs replaced? If so, were you happy with the fit and finish of the install (gaps/squeaks/finish)

So I was going through this site and reading this blog from this guy about car leather cleaning until I ran into the attached picture and the fact that he seems to promote NOT using cleaners and conditioners to advertising for cleaners and conditioners, LOL very confusing. I will stick with the damp cloth. As MDBones stated that is the best solution.

Also on the attached picture, it seems a little far fetched that this guy can clean and stretch the leather back to almost like new

Re: Is the Dash actually Leather

I'm using Liquid Leather from Chemical Guys. Nice matte sheen and smells great (like new leather). I use it on seats and dash and have no complaints so far. Seems to clean well and of course has nothing that can hurt the leather or "coating" on it.
