It's just a scratch.

My wife borrowed the Jeep for a drive out of town. She prefers it for a day trips on the open highways. No biggies. I can drive her Altima.

She backed it into the garage when she got home and got a little to close to a metal shelf that I have in there for odds and ends. No idea why she had the urge to get so close.

Re: It's just a scratch.

if u run your finger nail in the scratch and you can feel it dip then you are down past primer into the metal but not then you should or a body shop be able to buff it

That sucks. Take a hammer to her Altima.

Grounds for divorce. Most male judges would agree.
Fix it with your settlement money.

Boys we all know that it's cheaper to say "Yes dear" then "Yes your Honor"

Talked to my son about it and he talked me down (he always does). He said yeah it sucks but in the grand scheme of things..

You can feel it but just barely.
I took it to one of those scratch and dent places. He said it'll be buffed and repainted no problem. Luckily it's on the plastic trim and not the metal. Quoted $650 But cheaper then a body shop.

My wife still doesn't know. I didn't want to ruin her day.

Topic for dinner tonight. "Hey you owe me $650 bucks woman

I'd bring it to a reputable body shop. $650 isn't much of a deal and a scratch/dent place isn't going to have experience a body shop has at properly preparing and paint matching your damage.
