Re: JRoll's Uber-Tech Cabin Filter for WK2

That sounds very promising, thanks for all the R&D! I am in for a stainless steel.

I am in too. This is why America is so great. People are always tinkering to make things better for them and in turn better for everyone else.

Re: JRoll's Uber-Tech Cabin Filter for WK2

I hope someone make a how-to for installation. I'm still beyond lost on how to drop the whole glove box.

So from what I'm reading, this filer is washable but doesn't filter as well as the stock paper filter?

no need to drop the glove box just open it. Just pull the filter out. after removing the trim in front of it.

I think JRoll1ns said either in this thread or another one related to this one that you'd need to drop the glove box to install his filter.

Ok here are some pics on how to access the Cabin Air Filter.
  • In the first picture, you need to remove this black plastic cover thingy. You just pull on it and it come's off.
  • The 2nd pic shows this black plastic cover once removed.
  • In the 3rd picture, you see the Cabin Air Filter door. Press that black tab pointed by the red arrow towards the passenger side and the door swings open.
  • In the last picture you see the Cabin Air Filter itself. Voila!
