Re: Lamin-x

Thanks how I had it done at a place out here on the Island. A place called Underground tinting. Yea he did a really nice job. Paid 225.00 for material and installation. I used him because he is a certified LaminX installer.

Re: Lamin-x

$225 for just tails? The kit from Lamin-X is only $60 if you can do if yourself, that's what I did for both jeeps. But I guess that isn't outrageous for Instal cuz it does take some time and skill. It is a great product!

Re: Lamin-x

No Trent the price was for heads & tails. I did buy the precut kit from LaminX for the heads & tails but we wound up not using them. Because the headlight kit was not made for the shape of the Overland HID headlights. And the tails were just a tad short on the coverage. So installer had to use his material for those. He was able to use the precut pieces for the reverse lights & the 2 bumper lights. I also had the spoiler brake lite done. And like you say it does take some time and skill to install LaminX especially on the tailights. Plus all work is warrantied if any issues arise.

Re: Lamin-x

That's not a bad price at all then, the head lights look great, have you noticed much loss in brightness at night with the tint on the headlights? That's the only thing that has stopped me from tinting mine. It looks great but just don't want to lose to much brightness.

Re: Lamin-x

No noticeable loss in brightness with the tint. It is a very light tint. Just enough to to dull the bright silver of the inside of the Overland headlights. This is a very inexpensive mod alternative to purchasing the black SRT headlights.

Which happens every night where I live. Oh and by the way I have a complete set for heads and tails of LaminX that I ordered but did not use because the pre-cut kit is for the GC's that do not have HID headlights. So I just had him use his own material. If anyone is interested in purchasing this from me let me know. Otherwise I will just return it to LaminX.
Did you do the front fog lights as well? I cant really tell from the pictures.
