Re: Laredo X With Chrome extras

Cool looking vehicle!

And you own two of them, both with the Hemi but different 4WD systems. Maybe you can give us a future comparison review of the traction differences between QTII and QDII, either off-road or after the snow flies? Have fun!

WJS, that is sweet. Love the bberry in the sunlight. Looks great with the 5.7, sill guards, and bezels.

Re: Laredo X With Chrome extras

Question: how difficult was it to install the side mirror covers? They are the Mopar's, right?

Re: Laredo X With Chrome extras

I was a little intimidated at first; parts guy said they were applied by using double sided tape. Guess he knows nothing... You will need to read the instructions for this one. basically fold mirror out (Not in) position actual mirror so that it's moved in as much as possible. Reach in and with a little force pull mirror away from the body. It will snap loose with a little pressure. Careful not to let it go flying, mine was hanging by heated mirror wires. Unhook wires and set mirror someplace safe. Then on the part of the bracket that connects to the body there is a single screw, un-screw it and that releases the outer body of the mirror from the base. Then there are 4-5 tabs that you pry (Gently) open just enough to release the front of the case loose from the rest. Once it's free hang onto it because it will go flying off if you are not ready. Take new cover and snap it in place, re-screw and re-attach mirror and you are done. Read the instructions on this one. Good luck

Re: Laredo X With Chrome extras

The foglight inserts were so easy it wasn't even worth looking at the instructions.

Re: Laredo X With Chrome extras

I'm very interested in the chrome fog bezels and from what you've said, it's an easy install so I should be able to do that. Do you remove the existing black bezel?
The 5.7L is also interesting, but I was thinking to put it on the liftgate, right lower corner. Where did you buy the parts from?
Your vehicle looks great btw.

Black bezel comes out.

stick thin piece of cardboard between the black inset and the bumper (to prevent scratching the bumper) then pry out. Comes right out, easier then I thought it would be. New ones snap right in. Very easy. 1 minute for each if you are slow. Emblems are on this site http://www.justforjeeps.com/11grch.html I put the 5.7 on the sides and Hemi 5.7 on the tailgate. Reminded me of my 98 5.9. RIP
