Re: LED Amber Turn Signals

It takes patience twisting them in. It may feel like it's not possible, but the circumference of the base ring is just small enough to fit.

Re: LED Amber Turn Signals

Did yours seat correctly? Mine feel like they are just floating in the socket. They spin a full 360, so am I doing something wrong? I'm a bit worried that they may fall out over a hard bump.

Yeah it's very tight in there. I'm glad you got it worked out.

So I noticed that they blink 'normal' rate.
Was there a special resistor needed or just the "Triton" kit?

Re: LED Amber Turn Signals

04JGCLMTD47 Did you end up going your rear tails/signals as well?

My VLEDs rear tail/signal kit comes in tomorrow and I was wondering how your install went. I have a 2011 WK2 as well and I took out the lamp today to peek around in preparation and there is not much room to work with for the control box.

I'm thinking if I can get my small fingers in there I can double-side tape it to the upper part of the bumper just under the lamp. If you did this install, where did you mount it?

Did you have any problems with the install, any tips? I order the extensions as well just in case I need them.

Thanks!

I'm running this set up Taillight Solutions
It's straight plug and play.

Oh ok - thanks. Yeah I ended up going w/ V3 Triton for tails so will be a different system. Definitely want to do front signals as well.

You may not know this because you used a different system... but I'm wondering if I keep the halogen red tailgate lights they will look odd because of different light output to the LEDs? Would regular XenonDepot or similar LED replacements match the output. I wonder if the controller matches the output or if it depends on the bulb.

I'm thinking this both because of the type of light LEDs put out vs. halogen and possibly not matching the brightness of the LEDs. Thoughts?

Re: LED Amber Turn Signals

I'm using the vleds for the tailgate. It'll look dull if you don't change them. Leds look very sharp when lit. $20 for the tailgate bulbs.
