Re: LED fog lights question, please advise
I dunno why my 13 August post did not show up in your search. Direct LED replacements for the WK2 fog light bulbs are now available from several sources, "highperformancebulbs" being one of them. Amazon has another make. Not sure if any of the forum sponsors offer them. The ones that you must trim (number H16HPLEDW I think) may be less money however.
"Highperformancebulbs and others now have direct replacement fog light bulbs for the WK2, PSX24W type replacements. Pull out the old ones, plug in the new, done. No modifications necessary. They are 6000K Cool White, 7.5 watt. There is also amber available."
The OEM lens is built into the bulb, not the lamp housing, so the LED visibility is less effective than OEMs. As the manufacture says "The lights are designed for accenting and not for actually seeing the road."
I got a pair from highperfomancebulbs in early July and they are plug and play, although the fog light housing can be a bear to get to and then get the new bulbs snapped in. Take note of the orientation of the old bulbs. They do not light the road as well as the OEMs, not saying that the OEM lighting was that great to begin with.
Do a google search for PSX24W LED.
