LED headlights or HID

Hello everyone,

Im from NJ and just got the 16 Grand Cherokee limited. I wish I could've afforded the overland, but it is what it is. Can I install the LED headlights onto my truck and if so where can I get them. Hopefully theres a place here in NJ that can help. If not can someone post hid pics

Anyone have a roof overlay(Glossy), im looking to get one on ym white Jeep.

What exactly do you want to do? Replace your halogen low beam bulbs with hid/led or replace your headlight housings with the oem Overland housings? You can certainly swap out bulbs for a hid kit or led kit. I would recommend the ddm plus kit made for 2015+ mopars. As far as replacing the housings, I think it can be done with a custom harness but you will need to find good used housings to make it cost effective. You could also buy the eagle eye lights that have led strips linked to your parking lights. They look good and are plug and play.

HID kit would be a better idea. Tried the LED kit, didn't work well. LED kits for cars usually come with their own projectors. Lights going thru two sets of projector lenses doesn't really work out well. Went with morimoto HIDs top and bottom and the factory projector does an excellent job handling the light and the beam pattern and spread is great. No matter how dark it gets I see EVERYTHING!!! Lol. Power of the sun in my headlights and fogs. I live in NJ too. Went to shop in Oakland NJ that only deals with lights. Dude is a pro. Even does retrofits and stuff should you want to go the extra mile. I can show pics of the lights if interested. You can look up the shop. It's called lightwerks. Has ig too with way more pics

Re: LED headlights or HID

Relay harness and capacitors installed. Definetly for the fog lights. Head lights I'm not sure but I wouldn't be surprised. So far so good with the install. Haven't had any issues. Surpised how well the factory lenses handle the light. If I keep the truck I'm considering going the extra mile and having the guy change the projector lense to something better. But install has been working great. 1 year so far no hiccups.

Re: LED headlights or HID

I would suggest going with HID for the brightest possible light output. Our 2015 Jeep Grand-Cherokee HID kit will come with everything you need and does not require any additional relay harnesses or resistors.
