Sorry can't seem to figure out uploading pics to the forum. I came across these connectors from Digikey that may work with the ribbon wires you encounter when trying to change out those yellow map lights. These would eliminate the need to solder. These are crimp style connectors. I just got them in and have not tried them yet. These would only work if you got the prewired LED light mentioned in a previous post. Part numbers from Digikey are as follows 609-2158-ND. 609-2176-ND. 609-2160-ND. 609-2178-ND. I think the 2 pin connector would work on the factory white ribbon wire and the 4 pin connector would work on the black ribbon wire that is attached to the new LED since it looks to be a bit wider. Maybe an electric guru can chime in.

Are there any led issues with the interior lights dimming doen/off since it's a gradual power off?

No, the LEDs dim down as well.
