The reverse lights on the body are simple to change out. Pull out the 2 tabs which can be accessed once the liftgate is open. Once tabs are out just pull the whole tail light assembly out. Twist the bulbs a little and they pop right out. Then you can just pull the bulb straight out from its socket and stick in an LED

The reverse lights on the liftgate are a little challenging compared to the ones on the body but I personally didn't think it was that hard just buy some new panel clips before you do it
Here is a thread I used to change out my liftgate LEDs
LED Liftgate Reverse and Tail Light Install w/pics

Here are the LEDs I used for the liftgate
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i01

And here are the LEDs I used for the body
http://www.amazon.com/Putco-287401W-...ywords=287401W
Some people will tell you that those Neutron LEDs are too directional and don't work well in a reverse light application but I have them and I love them! Much brighter than a Putco 360 degree type bulb, I highly recommend them.

Re: Led License Plate Bulbs Upgrade

These are the only LEDs you will need for the entire inside of the car and the license plate.

Been running them for 2 months now.

Re: Led License Plate Bulbs Upgrade

Does everybody have those black, square rubber bumpers under their license plate? I don't have those on mine and my tag rattles like shit. I need to ask the dealer about those.

Re: Led License Plate Bulbs Upgrade

Quick note.

Don't get the flat style of 194 LEDs. They'll be totally and utterly useless to you. Get the kind where the LEDs are aimed out the front. FWIW, my license plate sockets were actually "clicked in" at different directions, on with the base on the vertical axis, and one on the horizontal, so the bulbs will not have the same orientation. Not a big deal if your LEDs all fire forward, but if you have the bar style like I had, you're f'ed.

Oh well, $3 wasted.

Re: Led License Plate Bulbs Upgrade

For those that have ordered off of V-LEDS.com, anyone know the bulb #'s that replace our DRL's? Something that won't melt after prolonged usage and is 'CANBUS' proof, as seems to be an important factor?

thanks folks!

Re: Led License Plate Bulbs Upgrade

I installed these lights yesterday from V-led and have a question. It took a bit of force to get the original lights out but these went in so easily. It seems as if they are in all the way and light up as they should but they seem really loose. Is this how they are supposed to be? Any input would be appreciated.

CAN bus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Basically the wk2 can tell if a bulb is out.

Some bulbs that are not Canbus Safe or immune will throw a bulb out warning.
