Re: LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

Here's my 20" curved bar. I'm going to install it when my 2014 LED lights come in so I don't have to remove the bumper more than once. I'll post up when I finish but the curve matches perfectly with the front of the jeep. I plan on removing the black grate completely. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1411767761.241025.jpg

Why not just place it behind the grill? The grill will protect it from being stolen and road debris.

I like the look of the bar. I've had stones hit my 50" on my JK and it hasn't hurt it.

Re: LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

I'm really starting to hate this site! It keeps putting ideas in my head. I just measured the lower fascia grill, it's 22". I can get a 20" or 22" bar in there. Definitely thinking behind the grill. Has anyone tried the bars from OPT7 ? They have a nice 22" with harness for about $150.

Amazon.com: OPT7 C2 Series: 22" Off-Road CREE LED Light Bar and Harness - Spot Auxiliary Lamp (10000 lumen): Automotive

Definitely an awesome price.... but that also makes you wonder about the quality.

Do you have a part number and/or link for the curved light bar?
I've been thinking about something like this as well.

Thanks

Re: LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

I'd put a rigid Industries RDS-Series 20" - Spot

Rigid Industries LED Lighting | LED Lights, Offroad, Marine, Truck

Yes it's $925 bucks, but then again my WK2 was not cheap either.

Re: LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

I was looking at these instead.
X-BAR 20 OFF-ROAD LIGHT BAR (MADE TO ORDER 5-10 DAYS) - Light Bars

They seemed to be of higher quality LED's than Rigid, plus they are individually replaceable. I was wondering about fitment though. Are they too big?

Re: LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

Well, I went the cheap route with the OPT7 22" spot light bar. And, I have to ssay, I'm pretty impressed with it. And if it breaks, no big loss, only $150.
