Thank you, I thought so but couldn't tell for sure. So obviously the 275/55/20 fit.

Trying to decide in Nitto 265/50/20 or the Michelin LTX AT2 which I prefer but they only come in 275/55/20

Re: LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

Well this weekend I attempted to install a 22" Rigid Light Bar behind the lower fascia of the grill

Unfortunately, when trying to mount the bar to the frame of the Jeep I was unable to get it bolted in. I used self tapping screws into a 1/8" pilot hole and the screw got so hot and they melted.

Re: LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

ive seen some pretty wonky installed various trucks. people will just drill a huge bar above the windshield and stuff the wires in the channel.
Seems crazy but might be the only way for those large ones.

LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

I seriously need to look around this forum more. Been stuck in the diesel section since day one.

I so have been wanting to do this. I have the radar as well so no bar for me. But for sure im going led. No doubt. They're just so much more efficient. And I'll most likely be using some Baja designs as there's no other comparison in the led industry in my opinion. I'll either go with a squadron or the squadron xl. Seriously some bright ass pods. They Make some bars look like candle lighting lol.

Ok , so here's the part where some of you guys will like about how I'm going to do this. For those that know me on the forum ( wk2 diesel section) , I like to make things. One of those things I've been working on is wireless switches via Bluetooth.

Literally just install my heavy duty / weather proof relay box in engine bay using vehicle specific brackets , give that box power from car battery, then just hook up your lights to my box ( plugs will be specific , chose them when ordering ) ........ Finally turn leds ( or whatever needs power) on or off or dim or strobe with app ( for iPhone and droids). No more wires thru fire wall and no more drilling for switches.

Here's a quickly on my chase truck. App in vid is beta version. Real version is almost done. Give me a few months and they 'lol be ready to go. And ,no , I'm not trolling or soliciting

This box is a 2relay(30amp)/switch setup but for a rigid or similar style connectors.

Okay, so I've been looking at LED light bars to mount on the bullbar. There are so many options and so many opinions. Why in your opinion are the Baja better than say the Rigid's or Great White leds?? There seems such a variation in price with some saying that there isn't that much difference, and go cheaper. The Baja's are quite pricey here downunder and don't include the loom in the price. Just trying to find the best and most economical option for driving on the open road.

Re: LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

Check out combat led. They are really bright and are basically just like rigid. Baja design kills it with the way there reflectors are. That's how they are so bright. Most led bars use the same led. It's how it thrown. Also there circuitry is a lot more advance.

Re: LED Light Bar Build Thread - Pic Heavy

I built a bracket out of 1/8" thick, 2" flat bar steel. U bolts around the radiator support bars mount the light bar bracket on the back side of the support bars. Pic here is test fitting it. I want to clean up the bracket, lay a few coats of paint on it before I mount it.

Everything is a really tight fit in there. Could get a single row a little higher up but the top of my 20 or 22" double row is touching the horns.

Still haven't found a spot for a switch I like, or a route to run the wires from the light bar, relay, to the switch... might just do the wireless option but i like the switch better.

Looks great, Adigi439. Stealthy install, I like it. When you get a switch installed, please share.
