Led Light bar installed!!

So after months of debating on whether to go all black or chromed out. I finally decided on the all black look. I absolutely love the way my car is coming together. I have my 20" black spider monkey rims and my light bar. uploadfromtaptalk1428511744523.jpg

I got this led light bar off amazon for 74 bucks with harness shipped. Thats a steal in my book. Its a 24" mount to mount bar, with 40 leds inside. Its shockproof, waterproof, vibration proof, all types of proofs lol. My bar is a flood light only i thought the spot light would be pointless.

First off i drilled two holes in the bottom part of the bumper. uploadfromtaptalk1428511866774.jpg

Second I screwed the bar onto the mount to level it out. I think it came out pretty straight. uploadfromtaptalk1428511968796.jpg

At this point everything was going good. I got it all mounted and ran the harness up along side of the radiator. But i forgot the most important part, refitting the bumper to the car . I had to cut out the bottom mesh in the bumper. uploadfromtaptalk1428512157308.jpg

Then i put the bumper back on without the bar. I lucked out because the mount came down enough so the light bar would fit and just barley sit on the chrome.

It was a nice little diy project for a saturday. Its nice and solid and all soldered and shrink wraped. I also made a quick connect instead of soldering the wires from the light to the harness. I used a male and female pigtail for the connection. So now if i have to take it off the quick is just behind the bar.

Here are some pics of the light output. uploadfromtaptalk1428512633440.jpg

Light bar only angled towards the ground so im not blinding anyone.

The photos dont do the light output justice. I really enjoyed this install and i hope you guys leave some feedback. Lets not be too critical lol.

Re: Led Light bar installed!!

Great job with the write up and pics. It's not my cup of tea, but the light output looks really good.

Re: Led Light bar installed!!

Excellent mod. Thank you for being a responsible modifier! Facing the light bar slightly downward so it's not in the eyes of oncoming traffic.

Would you by chance have a link to the Amazon seller for that bar? Also, how is it holding up?

Also, where did you mount the switch? Is there a hole through the firewall or did you need to drill one to run it?

Any pics of the switch etc etc would be appreciate.

Thanks and man that looks good

No holes were drilled since it's a wireless transmitter. It came with a key fob with a few buttons on it. I used double sided tape and put it on one of the empty buttons by the 4 way lights.

Much appreciate bro. Hopefully he sells ones that are a little longer.

Also, are the mounting brackets stationary or can they slide around to fit the mounting holes on my bar?
