Light in the little cubby spot

Has anyone figured out a way to install a light in that little spot under the radio? It has the SD Slot, USB and 12V power. I find it really dark in there even during the day.

You can't put a lot in there but it sure would be handy to have small 12 V light mounted in there someplace.

Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, mine has a light in there...

Re: Light in the little cubby spot

My brake controller is in there, no reason you can;t have an LED wired in a similar fashion.

There are USB LED lights with flexible necks, but the ones I've seen are several inches long. And, it would take up the USB slot. Wonder if a USB hub would work in that slot. A hub and a short/small USB light might do the trick.

Hmmmmm. that might work.

Seems like a miss on Chryslers part not to put one in there. But in the grand scheme of things........ it almost seems like.. really... this is what your complaining about ?

Just a thought.

That's a good idea. I'll search around for one. Hello Google

Something like this may be an option too

You'd need to wire it into a powersource (cigarette lighter) but should be straight forward

Or this?

Actually I think the ones that you found are a better option. I ordered 2 of them

Re: Light in the little cubby spot

Hmmmm. I started thinking about what Jim in PA said and reached up inside on the roof of that enclosure and feel what seems like could be a small light? Trouble is I need a small mirror on the end of a small telescopic arm to get a better look.

Or I could try and lay on back and get a look but even then I doubt I could see it.

It makes sence that there should be one factory installed there.

Try putting the interior lights on.

Re: Light in the little cubby spot

Tried that yesterday during the day but tried again this morning in my garage in the dark just to be sure and no change.

I'm going to take a picture of what that little thing is that I feel with my finger. Probably a clip of some kind. Feels rectangular?
