Lowered my 2014 JGC Overland today!

So I lowered my 2014 jeep grand cherokee overland today with the stock 20's and man it looks sweet. I'll go into detail for anyone maybe interested. The shop that lowered it said it was a hard install due to how much they had to compress the springs to get them in but they got them in. So if your thinking of doing it take it to a shop to be done. Also the ride is amazing. Taking corners hard gives no lean at all. The ride is very good. Not bumpy not hard. Almost feels stock. And when I say almost I mean like 95%. I think these should be factory alignment is spot on still too! I am very pleased with eibach on these springs. Also no rubbing what so ever. No noise over speed bumps and none running. Plenty of room in the wheel well. I don't have option to raise and lower the vehicle electronically. It is a v6 and 2 wheel drive. Not 4x4. The springs are eibach# 28108.540. I will upload photos in the am.

Here's a tip, when taking pics with your phone, turn it sideways.
Vertical camera syndrome can be averted.

I am also considering doing this too. I have a 2wd 11 with 5.7 on factory 20's. I am just wondering if it would effect the towing tongue load capacity. I use mine to occasionally tow my other toys.

Can't wait to see more pictures when you get a chance!

Re: Lowered my 2014 JGC Overland today!

Looks like it has the stance of its SRT counter part. I'd like to get a set of factory rear springs from an SRT for cheap to do this as well.

Looks clean, clean, clean!

ok to do just rear?

I have been thinking that this might be a way to both improve handling and lower the rear enough to take some of that raked look away.

Just have no clue weather only replacing the rear only isn't going to create any issues...

Re: Lowered my 2014 JGC Overland today!

What would be price difference of buying a set of SRT8 springs vs the Eibachs ?

How much lower does a SRT8 sitt vs the stock CG Limited?

Re: Lowered my 2014 JGC Overland today!

As I'm sure you know those springs are gonna settle down a little more. Id like to see a pic now or in another week or two.

I would hope that the springs wouldn't affect drivability. They are OEM, after all.

You want to buy them used and If people are privy about pricing then they'll sell them at a comparable price to the eibachs. Hopefully cheaper.

To the OP, can you take some height measurements from under the fender molding to the ground to see what the height difference is?
