Re: Making a Panda out of my Overland

Dirty,

The black mirrors look good too!

I may still blackout the headlight liners, and I need to change the lug nuts. The chrome door handles don't seem to bug me so much anymore so those will stay, esp bc they are such a pain in the ass to change.

Re: Making a Panda out of my Overland

i was going to get that done to mine. shop wanted $500 installed. but I figured since its on the roof fairly high up it wont have to be "perfect" so I found good 3M vinyl online and was going to purchase it. $120 for the full single sheet.

too bad i decided to sell/downsize from the jeep... damn grad school!

Thanks Danni, how did you get that front lower chrome piece off? I plan to remove it for either vinyl wrap or plastidip.

Thanks

Nice looking Panda! Mine is looking close to yours. Couple of questions......did you paint directly over your mirrors or buy chrome covers and paint those? What type of paint did you use for mirrors and lower front cowel?

Here is the info from the previous page on my rundown of removing the air dam.

I searched jg and found that a few members had removed this part..sweet! This did require somebody crawling around under the bumper, but it wasn't too bad and maybe took 30mins. There are 7 quarter turn fasteners behind on the plastic air dam with 2 in the felt liner. We rotated the tires to get to them. Once all the fasteners were popped off it took one person under the bumper pushing the clips/tabs holding it to the jeep bumper and another pulling on the plastic to get it off the bumper. This did require quite a bit of force with the guys questioning if this was actually possible or if the bumper was going to blow up but once the first one popped the rest came easier. Doing this at dark as the temps dropped did not help. Be patient and careful.

I think painting that made it look bad ass in real life. The pics just don't do it justice.

Thanks! I sent my parts to Scott at Scotts Paining (in the vendor section), so I can't answer that. Sorry!

Panda's are cute... I think your truck looks more evil than cute...
I like the look!
Thanks for sending the parts in!!!!

The paint can go over the chrome mirror covers. They get sanded and epoxy (House of Kolor) then your paint code and clear!
You can contat me at UR50SLO@aol.com
Thanks again Danni,
Scott~!
