Mice!

Bought a 2013 JGC new. It now has 19k and is still virtually new. I changed out the cabin air filter recently and found a HUGE mouse nest built on top of it. And of course, lots of vile stains and odors on the filter. I park it outside, but it's never been off road or parked on grass. Anyway, question is: How are mice getting into the air ducts? I can't find any obvious voids.

Re: Mice!

Mice can fit in a hole the size of a quarter. If you park in the same spot maybe you can encircle your vehicle with some type of mouse deterrent. Kind of like a a circle of salt to keep witches away. Doesn't sound like you drive it much either. The more it's stationary the more chance of them calling it home. Especially with colder weather coming.

Re: Mice!

Yup, sometimes it sits for a week at a time. I was hoping someone would have found some obvious voids to the ducts that I could screen over. Maybe a little bar of soap on top of the cabin filter would make it less attractive for them.
