Re: Mod Squad

I have to balance my Jeep (s) mods with my motorcycle mods...not enough cash to go around.

Re: Mod Squad

So far all I have done is tint the windows.

As much as I would like to mod this 5.7 HEMI I am saving up for the 2012 SRT8.

Curious to see what everyone does with theres though, personally ide like to track mine stock and see what it does.

That would be great. I would be able to keep the kids happy with the headrest monitors and me happy with the command view sunroof!

Re: Mod Squad

Hey All,

New to the forum here. I just ordered the Rosen AV7700 dual headrest monitors for active headrests. I spoke with Rosen and since they do not a model specifically for the WK2, that they have had installers use the ones designed for the MB Class. I will let you know how the install goes. I also ordered the CHR 550 Lockpick even though the company says it is not "approved" for the WK2 as of yet. Must be working out some bugs, but I have seen that some members of this forum has had no problems. Any comments to this?

Thanks.

I'd like to make that rear chrome strip Carbon Fiber. I have Carbon Fiber Fog Light Bezels and they look sharp.

I've:
tinted my front windows to match the rear;
added Carbon Fiber Fog Light Bezels;
added a Lockpick with the extra AV cables so I can run slingbox from my phone to the NAV;
added an "Invisible K40 RL360 Radar Detector";
added slush mats for the front, rear and cargo area;

I plan on:
getting new wheels (black) and tires this spring;
CAI asap;
adding more Carbon Fiber;
adding a performance chip(s)

Thinking about getting:
Wifi;

How's the sling box on the nav? Never thought about that.

Re: Mod Squad

For me, nothing major so far...

I've tinted the front windows 20% (3M) and added a visor strip (illegal to tint windshield in MD and I'm checked into work by MPs every morning).
De-badged the rear.
K&N Air Filter (Not the enitre Cold Air Intake)
I've ordered Jeep slush mates, chrome bezels & door sills.

I'd like:
- 20" Overland Rims (Spring/Summer)
- BFG A/T on my 18s for Winter and Camping Trips
- Headrest RSE (had these in my '06 RR and now my 5-yr son complains he no longer has a car with TV - such a brat)
- HID Fogs
- Amberectomy
- Front Tow Hooks
- Overland Grill (honey comb inserts)
- Shark Fin Antenna (will probably order shortly)
- Skid Plates
- And, if possible the addition of a Htd steering wheel & power liftgate

My wife yells at me as I change everything... I upgraded to the AMG styling package when we ordered her 2010 R350 (she didnt want it), had her front windows tinted 20% and had a clear bra installed (she didnt want it) and her MB slush mats came in last night (shocker, she didnt want them). She also caught me trying to debadge it :/

And, I have my '88 Mustang 5.0 sitting in the garage that draws attention too.

Thats why I have a TV w/ cable mounted above my workbench Ca't wait for Spring.

Also, Adam's Jeep in MD is currently selling Laredo's with aftermarket wheels and hood graphics. They told me that as soon as the lift kits are available they will be selling them that way as well. I am sure there are dealerships all over the country that do this. Check out some of the pics:

Re: Mod Squad

nice to see everyone letting 'er rip after finally seeing more deliveries.

^great work mhassler, looks very nice. +rep to you sir.

my wife accuses me of watching too many "pimp my ride" reruns, but she is now secretly looking for her own mods. (no, not those kind of mods, you know, for her car.)
