Re: Mod Squad

From what my guy told me there are two in development so far... a 1.5-2" BB and a 4 or 4.5" short arm kit.
He didn't mention companies by name but Adams Jeep works extremely close with Rusty's Off-Road and Rubicon Express.

The ZJ in my signature had a 9" lift. Work was done by me and Adams Jeep. Originally, it was used as the picture for Rusty's LA ZJ Lift Kit. When I sold the vehicle they took it down because of permission rights.

Have you installed the amp yet? Curious where you would hide it and what type of audio improvement you've realized in return.

This thread is cracking me up, especially the reports of SDS (Spouse Disapproval Syndrome). mhassler's "caught me trying to debadge it" line had me ROFL.

PS: Finally figured out how to use multi-quote. Maybe this will help me cut down on my post count a bit.

Or the WAF. (Wife Acceptance Factor)

But mine has her own Jeep. I'm doing whatever I want to mine.

It's cool! I have an HTC Touch Pro 2. It has a mini usb port. I had to find a mini usb to A/V cable online.

Re: Mod Squad

I just rec'd this response from Rocky Road Outfitters in Utah,

"We actually have a new Grand Cherokee in our shop and the kit is complete. We're just running it thru testing now before release.

Thanks,
Glenn Wakefield"

So, we will see what comes of it. He made no mention of what they prototyped. And, stating the obvious, its for the std. coil suspension, not QL.

And, for those of you who haven't seen the Engine Performance Sub-Forum, my Jeep is going into Bwoody Performance on the Jan 28th to be fit and measured for a prototype CAI.

I'll keep all of you updated.

Re: Mod Squad

I just recieved a response back from Rubicon Express as well:

"Sorry, we don't have a kit on the drawing board for the new GC yet.
RE"

This doesn't mean they wont offer one in the near future.

I also ordered the CHR 550 Lockpick even though the company says it is not "approved" for the WK2 as of yet. Must be working out some bugs, but I have seen that some members of this forum has had no problems. Any comments to this?

Thanks.
Any luck installing these Rosen monitors?

Well, being a JK modder and having done several mods on my JK, I thought about some things that I could apply to my wife's WK2. I also don't have a lot of cash to spare so I always revert to all low cost (aka cheap) mods.

In this case and after driving the WK2 a few times at night, I noticed that it needed some lighting in the footwells that went along with the other nice ambient lights inside the Jeep. Having done a similar mod on my JK I took the initiative to add it (against my wife's will) to the WK2.

The LED I bought was from Autozone and I think they are call flex led strips. They cost about $25 and comes in pairs. You can cut it to the length you want, it comes in different colors and runs on 12 volts.

The install was pretty straight forward, in fact, it took me less than when I first did it to me JK about a year or so ago. I just tapped onto the cup holder lighting harness which can be accessed from the passenger side and that was it. I can try posting some pictures of the cables, connections, etc., once I get around taking some more pictures.

At any rate, I just thought I shared this with you guys in order to get you inspired in low cost mods as well as in saving some money (mopar charges quite a bit for this thing!).

Enjoy,

Nacho

P.S I wrote all of this from my iPhone, so please excuse me from any misspelling, etc.
