That's good to here WK2OverlandII. There's lots of history with that Div. Thanks for leading the way for us younger troopers.

Best advice; read the instructions a number of times then follow precisely. Have some blocks of wood and a jack or two handy to jack the body so as to twist it a bit to line up any misaligned bolt holes.

I disagree with this completely. The instructions state to install the bolts along the pinch weld first. This makes it nearly impossible to install the nuts in the door sill.

Are we reading the same instructions? The instructions I used are below. Perhaps you were tightening as you went. It's always best to leave all nuts finger tight until everything is aligned.

I couldn't see what you posted, but the instructions that came with my rails said to first install the flag bolt nuts (loosely), next install the pinch weld bolts & stiffener (loosely), then jack the rail into place until it popped over the door sill bolts, then to loosely install the sill nuts.

I barely had 1/2 of a thread on the sill bolts to start the nuts on. The only way I got it to work is to remove all the pinch weld nuts I installed previously and install them AFTER I had all the sill nuts started.

Thanks to you, and the other contributors.
These are the rails that should have been installed on the GC Trailhawk!!!

Also, the "JustForJeeps" site still has them listed as unavailable.

Re: MOPAR Rock Rails Installed - Picture Laden

...perhaps the backorder is due to a supplier change, or a slight redesign given the install issues people are having...

Hang in there & be persistent. I had a set of the MOPAR rock rails installed by a dealership in Boulder, Co - on January 2nd, on my 2014 GC Overland. They got them in for me in less than one week.

Call nearby dealerships and see if they can source them - I remember 2 years ago when I couldn't find any, one dealer said they could get them but it was going to cost ~$140.00 to ship (I said no and later regretted it because it took almost 5 more months to find some once Jeep's supplier started making them again).

I'd like to see another supplier other than Mopar or Rocky Road (or have the Rocky Road supersliders extend along the full length of the frame).

Has anyone seen an install writeup of the TH rails?

Re: MOPAR Rock Rails Installed - Picture Laden

I haven't come across an install thread for the "Hawks" either.
I'm hoping that the "tube rail" type use the same bolt locations so it's just a swap.

The trailhawk rails bolt up just the same way I believe. I always thought it was a little weird that the TH rock rails cost more than the MOPAR rails, even though they come without the outside tube.
