Mopar roof rack

Does anyone know the total length (end to end) of the Mopar factory crossbars 82212072AB. These fit the JGC 2012 factory roof tracks.

Re: Mopar roof rack

They are 47" from end to end...

And, keep in mind that approx. 3-1/2" on each end is unusable due to the locks & mounting feet bolts.

So you have about 40" of mounting from left to right.

Re: Mopar roof rack

Right, armored...

Exactly, the front crossbar is 47" & the rear is 46'' end to end.

Re: Mopar roof rack

Thanks for the info. I was comparing them to Thule and they sound similar or exactly the same. For purchasing options, I see that they are online at a few places and of course my dealer who is selling them for MSRP.

How do you like yours as far as fix and durability ??
Does the foot support wrap around the roof rail on both sides ?

Re: Mopar roof rack

I like them in that they do what I ask of them... They install, fit, & function just fine for my needs now.

I occasionally have to carry some long boxes that I do not want inside the cabin & they are able to allow that.

Yes, I would say they are strong & durable so far... And, I wish that I had more room front to rear but the Jeep's panoramic sunroof limits that and I did not want to change the rails as some others have.

Also, these Mopars were really not my first choice for looks, as I think that both the Thule AeroBlade and Yakima Whispbar load bars are more eye-appealing with their aerodynamic shapes plus look to sit a little lower & closer to the Jeep roof line.

But when pricing the complete Thule set-up with 460R Rapid Podiums & Fit kit, ARB47 AeroBlades, & a 4-Pack lock kit the cost was still over $435.

The Mopars list for $285. and even though I have a 'better than the norm' dealer who was willing to decently discount, I still went to Amazon like others here in JG and got them for $219.

So summing up, these OEM Mopar bars have the good, strong, & value points for my needs, plus I know that the additional Mopar/Thule accessories could work later as my needs change.
