mopar side steps

hi all i am just about to start fitting side steps to my new grand cherokee the fitting instructions if you could call them that show a lot of parts and illistrations but no actural instructions has any one have any improvements to the supplied info regards luludog31

Re: mopar side steps

I also installed these side steps. The install is actually pretty simple once you get everything together. All I did was line up the brackets to the side steps, and then lined everything up while lying under the jeep. (I waited until I had each of the three brackets secured before screwing on the side step.) You should see black rubber plugs (0.5 inch diameter) on the edge of the frame that pull right out where all the brackets line up. Then slide in the brackets, and screw each cross bolt for support using a socket wrench. The toughest part for me was scraping out white foam from one of the holes on each side to make the bracket slide in.

I did this awhile ago, without any instructions, so I hope this helps a little bit. Let me know if you have any questions!
