Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

Yeah that's what I figured. Wish Jeep made a painted version. My old vehicles all had painted versions.

How much paint did you order from scratch wizard. I only have the two fronts. Was the clear coat needed ?

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

All they offered was the standard can size that you would buy at the auto store. You really need to do it right or don't do it at all. Plastic spray primer...three or four light coats...four light coats of body color....and four coats of clear. The clear offers a decent level of protection, plus your jeep has been cleared, so if you want it to match....you need the clear

Mud Flaps on 2014

I'm not at all concerned with the salt as that basically turns into a mist as the melting on the highways occurs. I'm just trying to keep the gravel, and rock chips off the rockers.

LOL... go look at the rest I posted on "take a pic of your ride right now" thread.

That road salt is also mixed with the calcium chloride spray they lay down prior to a snowstorm.

Understood. But for those shortening their mud flaps, that kind of defeats the purpose.

Around NE Ohio, they are one and the same. The "gravel" around here is the rick salt itself. My rockers toast and especially that worthless chip guard patch they put under the clear outside the fronts of the rear fender wells.
