I went back and reread those and others around them and still have the open question about the Mopar OEM flaps as far as their measurement from the base of the rocker panel to the bottom of the flap. The ones I saw in the posts you noted seemed to be the ones obtained from Ebay AU manufactured in China and not the OEM Mopar ones.

I appreciate the lookback to the China ones but still want to see what the OEM ones measure.

Thanks

Mine are Mopar - I will measure them this evening when I get home from work.

I have the Chinese non-oem installed in front. I have attached some pictures. One picture shows the non-oem vs. the Oem and you can see the difference in length. There is also a picture of the Mopar oem (Oem) with a tape measure to show length.

Installed on 2014 JGC Limited with standard 18" wheels.

By the way, the Mopar oem flaps are also Made In China.

Hope these help!

Thank you, I really appreciate the information. Which China flaps are on your Jeep? There are several on Ebay and most have not measurements to know which are which.

I am leaning towards the much shorter ones for the front and maybe the OEMs for the rear...still on the fence with those.

Thanks again.

I bought mine from here (disregard the years):

Full Set Mud Flaps Splash Guards Mudguards for Jeep Grand CHEROKEEWK2 2011 2012 | eBay

The rear flaps are the same size China non-oem and Mopar OEM.

Word of caution: the hardware that comes with the China non-oem ones is not as complete as the hardware that comes with the Mopar ones. I had bought a Mopar set before buying the China ones so I just used the Mopar hardware.

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

I have the oem installed. They do take a beating and keep on ticking. I have a bad habit of running over the trash bag (my son sets it too close to the end of the driveway) and have entered and exited the driveway in "EXIT" mode (6" or so rounded curb type) and have scraped them soundly. To my surprise no ragged edges. I can't believe it, but no damage. Aesthetically I'm not thrilled with them, but when it comes to washing and waxing I'm not finding any nicks or chips. Wish I could say the same for the front fascia. I've driven them through a foot of snow with no issues. Yes the ice builds up, but not creating any problems. Without them I noticed a fugly swirl of road scum built up on the rear doors and quarters. So except for looks I'm very happy.

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

Just measured mine:

The were from China/E-bay, (can't locate seller at the moment) with Jeep emblem on the rear set, but the front's were shorter which I wanted. Just below the side steps.

The rears needed a small mod to clear the mufflers but went on with extra clips I purchased from Auto shop.

The front ones measure 130mm or 6 1/4" from the ground to the bottom.

Here's the link to rear install. Mud Flaps on 2014

Those front ones won't do much protecting...

Sorry, I fail to see your reasoning.

The "spoilage" from the flap gets directed under the side step.

I am very happy with the way they work.

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

Are front splash guards available for a 2015 HA from Mopar? I am only seeing rear ones on their web site and I called the dealer and they dident seem to know.

I see Husky has some. Do they work on the Overland HA? Anyone got any pics with them?

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

The Dealer put the ones from his 2014 book on my 2015 Overland when I picked up my vehicle.

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014
