Do any of you guys have side rails too? I'm wondering if mud flaps will somehow get in the way of my next project (black side rails)

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

I believe it depends on the type of side rails you want to get, the MOPAR rock rails don't go with the mud flaps I saw on this thread: MOPAR Rock Rails Installed - Picture Laden

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

One of the local dealers has been installing the mudflaps on most of their vehicles. Here are pictures of a max steel overland with the mud flaps.

I just finished installing fronts on my max steel overland. The only problem I had were the clips were tight enough. I had to mash them down with my channel locks and then the install was a breeze. I am going to do the rears in a few weeks when I need to rotate my tires. Here are pics if you were wondering how they look on an overland or considering fronts only.

To dispel the myth, it works with the rock rails, you just need to do some cutting etc.

Edit: sorry about the dirt, it had just rained.

Thanks, when I picked it up the service guy said it was his favourite GC because of the rock rails and mud flaps. He thought it really added beef/muscle to it. My next mod will be Cooper Zeon's when the tyres wear out and to plasti dip the badges, but while the chrome is new I'm going to leave it a year or so

The black on white looks really good. Did you install everything yourself, and if so, how hard was it to I stall the rock rails? I know the mud flaps are easy as I did those myself. But I'm thinking about putting the rock rails on my to do list...

I got the dealer to install the rock rails, it was how I ordered it, I thought about doing it but there was some fabrication required so I left it in their hands. That way if they stuffed it up they had to fix it before delivery. Some others in here have installed the rock rails. There is a rock rail thread in here, start at the last page of the thread and work back

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

Anyone have a ballpark figure of what it should/would cost to have a dealer install them?

My old dealership wanted $150 total price...all four mud flaps & installation.

This time around for my new 2014 Overland, I ordered a set of 4 for about $65 online, and plan on installing them myself this weekend.
